As the Facilities & EHS Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of our
manufacturing facility. This role is crucial to ensuring optimal performance and longevity of our facilities and equipment. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive asset management system, overseeing capital
equipment procurement, running a robust preventive maintenance (PM) program, and overseeing our environmental health and safety
(EHS) program. You will collaborate with other managers to support production needs and continuous improvement initiatives while
also managing facility-related projects, budgets, and external contractors. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be on call for
emergency maintenance outside of regular working hours, be comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including
exposure to heat, cold, and noise, and possess the ability to navigate and perform tasks in confined spaces or at heights.
This position will report directly to the DOO.
Your work will be based in our Phoenix warehouse, with office hours generally set for Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
You must have reliable transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Asset Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive asset management database for all facilities and equipment.
Preventive Maintenance and Repairs
- Develop, implement, and oversee a preventive maintenance program that ensures all facilities and equipment are in optimal condition. Coordinate, conduct and/or oversee repairs, to maintain daily operations with minimal downtime.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations and standards by conducting regular safety inspections and audits, implementing advanced safety protocols, and continuously seeking ways to enhance and implement safety measures.
Capital Procurement
- Support strategic plans to source and purchase new equipment and coordinate the installation and commissioning of all new equipment.
Facility Upgrades and Projects
- Plan and oversee facility upgrades and renovation projects, managing budgets and coordinating with external contractors and vendors, with a focus on innovative and optimized project execution.
Environmental Management
- Implement and manage waste disposal and recycling programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and monitoring energy usage to identify and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Cleanliness and Sanitation
- Develop and enforce a general facility sanitation program in accordance with cGMP requirements specific to a food manufacturing facility.
Security Management
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security systems and protocols to protect the facility and its occupants.
Space Management
- Optimize the use of facility space to support operational needs and accommodate future growth.
Tools and Spare Parts InventoryManagement
- Maintain an optimized inventory of facility-related supplies, tools and equipment spare parts.
Team Observations and Process Optimization
- Regularly communicate observations of team performance and operational processes to management, providing recommendations for optimization and efficiency improvements.
Team Management
- Identify when additional staff are required to fulfill these responsibilities. Write and propose job descriptions, hire, train and manage a team of maintenance technicians if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Experience sourcing, installing and maintaining food production and packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with facilities software, such as CMMS and BIM platforms.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA compliance standards.
- Understanding of cGMP cleaning and sanitation programs.
